Zichen majored in Computer Science and Anthropology at UW-Madison. He completed Anthro 370: Field School at Aztalan in the Summer of 2017 and was an undergraduate lab aid from Fall 2017-to Spring 2020. He currently is an MPhil student studying archaeology at the University of Hong Kong. He is interested in the application of emerging digital methods in archaeology and plans to conduct research that promotes open, collaborative, and reproducible archaeological work. His current research focuses on settlement patterns and human interaction with the landscape in the Vedi River Valley using remote sensing data.
